With a population figure of 1.25 billion and counting, one can easily make an estimation as to how and what will be the different variables of various age demographics of our nation. In India,more than 35% of the population figure statistics is comprising of senior citizen.
The population group aged 60 or above are considered to fall in the criteria of senior citizen in India.Though under the law the senior citizen enjoy several benefits, still it is the same group that has to go through several hardships in the older stage of their life. In order to provide some relief, the Indian government has also taken up the initiative to build and run several Old Age Homes in India.
Old age home is that shed which protects the senior citizens for various storms that life pave ways for. Old age homes in India have grown in number across the nation providing an extended support to all those elderly people who due to any reason have been let down or left alone in their life amidst loneliness, anxiety, depression or any family or health related problem.
India is witnessing a progressive rise in the development of Old Age homes that are offering a number of facilities from fully furnished accommodation to well equipped entertainment centers. Special attention is being provided to spiritual sentiments of the members of these Old Age Homes in India. Infrastructure of these old age homes are so designed so that it meet the requirement of safety along with assurance for a better older retirement.
